Server / Client Based Support
Server/client-based support involves providing technical assistance and troubleshooting for both server-side and client-side systems within an IT environment. This encompasses tasks such as installing, configuring, and maintaining server operating systems, applications, and services to ensure optimal performance, security, and reliability. Additionally, it involves assisting end-users with issues related to their individual workstations or devices, including hardware and software troubleshooting, configuration, and usage guidance. The goal is to ensure smooth operation and efficiency for both server and client systems, ultimately supporting the productivity and functionality of the organization’s IT infrastructure.
Networking Administration / Support
Networking administration/support involves overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of computer networks within an organization. This includes tasks such as configuring network devices (routers, switches, firewalls), managing IP addresses and domain names, monitoring network performance and security, troubleshooting connectivity issues, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and security policies. The role also involves providing technical support to users, resolving network-related problems, and implementing network upgrades or expansions as needed to meet the organization’s requirements.
Network Setup and Installation
Network setup and installation involve the deployment and configuration of hardware and software components to establish a functional computer network. This process includes tasks such as installing and configuring network devices like routers, switches, and access points, laying out network cabling infrastructure, assigning IP addresses, and configuring network services such as DHCP and DNS. The goal is to create a reliable and secure network environment that enables seamless communication and data transfer among connected devices. Additionally, network setup may involve implementing security measures such as firewalls and encryption to safeguard data and protect against unauthorized access.
